Class Attire & Attendance

Effective October 1, all students will be required to wear proper attire for every ballet class. Students must have a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled up in a bun. We have some clothing available for sale in the office and will be placing an order for shoes/tights on Sept. 30th at the Brigham Studio. Check with the office in Ogden for order dates. If you need any items, please come in by Wed., Sept. 29th, to place your order.

We will also be ordering hot shorts ($15). Remember, solid black shorts are required for all company dancers for certain performances and rehearsals. We have try-on sizes in the office (Brigham week of 9/27 & Ogden week of 10/4) and other solid colors are also available. Orders will be placed on 9/30 and 10/7. Please come in this week to make sure you have everything you need for class!

ATTENDANCE REMINDER! We have noticed quite a few unexcused absences in the last few weeks. As per Studio by-laws, 90% attendance is required for all company and prep team dancers. Rehearsal classes are extremely important, especially at this time as we are working hard on choreography. If you must miss class, please notify the office IN ADVANCE so you can be excused. Thanks for all your hard work and support!

Pulse Routine Update

Pulse Routine choreography will be Friday, October 1, from 4:00-10:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 2, from 10:00 a.m. until completed. Choreography fee is $70 per dancer. This is a themed piece and price of costumes will be more than average than for other routines. Get excited - this routine is going to be AWESOME!!

Rap It Up

Rap It Up is Saturday, October 9, at Murray High School. Registration is $80 in advance (by October 1) $100 after October 1. Promoted as Utah's #1 Hip Hop workshop - Instructors Lindsey Blaufarb, Chonique Sneed, Lisette Bustamante, Gev, and Todd Flanagan. This workshop is TONS of fun and a great one-day event to make up if you missed Full Out or Dance Fever (will need to make up one other workshop to equal 2 days).

Registration is from 8:00-8:30 a.m. and workshops start at 8:45.

Pulse & Brigham Sr. Funk Routine Choreography

Choreography for the Pulse Routine has been scheduled for Friday, Sept. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Provo Marriott. We are SO excited to work with Natasha and she will only be in Utah on these two days. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility in working with us on the schedule and know you will love this amazing opportunity to dance with one of the best! Choreography fee due Sept. 15.

Plan on Brigham Senior Funk choreography on Sept. 24 & 25 with Kandace! Time TBA -remember to reserve the date. There will also be a small choreography fee for this routine.

Peach Days Parade Info.

PEACH DAYS - Sat, Sept 11. We are number #39 in the parade. Please line up at 9:30 a.m. The parade starts at 10:00. Our check-in station is W5 and we will line up just north of Napa Auto Parts on west side of Main Street between 400 and 500 South. Please access from 500 South on the west side of the street.

The parade ends at 600 North and pick up location will be one block to the east or west, whichever way we are directed to turn off by parade officials. Your dancer must be picked up by an adult. If other arrangements need to be made or you have questions, please call Eden (435)225-2224 or Mindy at 225-3196. Refer to your class notes for hair, make-up, and costume instructions. Performance earrings are optional. Most important, remember your stick and your ENERGY AND SMILES!!

Ogden Studio Late Registration & Dance Fever Info

Last week was a busy time for all! Due to conflicts with several schools that held Back to School nights, we are offering one last late registration session at the OGDEN STUDIO for company and team dancers on Thursday, SEPT. 2, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

All Ogden company and team dancers ARE REQUIRED to update their registration forms and sign a new ballet contract. Also, please pick up and review your fall schedule. Remember, a few changes in classes were recently made.

Payment for DANCE FEVER IS PAST DUE! Thanks to those who have already submitted fees and hotel reservations on time. If you have not yet requested room space for your dancer, please contact Jamie at the Ogden Studio NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, AUG. 31. If you have not made reservations through the Studio by this date, you will be responsible for your own accommodations. BRIGHAM STUDIO hotel reservations are complete. A $15 late fee will be charged to all accounts with outstanding Dance Fever charges on Sept. 1. For your convenience, you can call the Studio and make a payment by phone.

Registration for Ogden recreation classes will also be open on Thursday night. Several of our classes are filling up fast! Let your friends and family who might be interested know to call or come in to reserve a spot.

Summer session has ended and no classes (with the exception of Parade for the Brigham Studio) will be held Aug. 30-Sept. 6. Have a safe and happy Labor Day and we'll see you all dancing again starting Sept. 7!

Pulse Update - Convention Fee Due

Payment for the Pulse Convention is now DUE. We will receive an additional discount and cost will be only $200 for convention and $25 for the competition fee if paid by Aug. 31. Payment MUST be paid at registration in Ogden THIS Wednesday or Thursday from 4:30-8:30 p.m. in order to be submitted to the Pulse by the payment deadline.

Remember, ALL advanced students ages 11 & up are welcome and invited to attend. They have many scholarship opportunities and this is a GREAT learning experience and so much fun!

Brigham dancers can contact Eden or Mindy to make arrangements to turn in payment.

Fall Registration Reminder

Infinity Dance is NOW registering for Fall Session.

Reminder - Classes begin on Tuesday, Sept. 7. General registration for the Ogden Studio will be Aug. 25 & 26 from 4:30-8:30 p.m. The Brigham Studio will be registering during Peach Days on Sept. 10 & 11 or by calling the Studio and leaving contact information at (435) 723-1909. You can also come and register the first week of class.

All registered students from the Brigham City Studio (from summer and fall) ages 5-8 are invited to ride on the truck in the Peach Days Parade on Sept 11. Students who are 3 & 4 are also invited to ride with a parent. Dancers on the truck do not need to purchase a costume and can wear any combination of hot pink, black, and white clothing. *Please call the office if you would like to sign up your dancer to ride in the parade.

Bring a friend to registration and sign up to receive a tuition credit referral! Ask in the office for more details. We hope to see you soon!

Peach Days Parade Info (Brigham Studio)

PARADE INFO - Parade costume of $55 is NOW DUE. Remember, you also need a stick and to PURCHASE your own WHITE CANVAS KEDS tennis shoes and white no-show socks. You can buy the shoes anywhere you like. They have been priced at Sears and JC Penney for under $20.

PARADE PRACTICE - Practice next week (Aug 19) will be held at the old K-Mart Parking lot. We will need help with carpooling to the parking lot. If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. ALL STUDENTS need to be PICKED UP from the parking lot at 3:00 p.m.! No one will be coming back to the Studio.

ALL REGISTERED STUDENTS (from summer and fall) ages 5-8 are invited to ride on the truck in the Peach Days Parade on Sept 11. Students who are 3 & 4 are also invited to ride with a parent. Dancers on the truck do not need to purchase a costume and can wear any hot pink, black, and white clothing.

Important Updates

DANCE FEVER - Payment for Dance Fever on Sept. 17 & 18 is NOW DUE. All Companies, Company 2, Teen Prep and Jr. Prep are required to attend both days ($165). Mini Prep and Tiny Prep are required to attend one day, Friday ($95).

Cost is per dancer and includes all classes, dinner Friday night and at-shirt. A late fee of $15 per dancer will be added if payment is not received by 8/19 or payment arrangements made. (*Breakfast will not be provided this year.) Darling zip-up hoodies and shorts will be available to purchase at the Convention!

PLEASE CONTACT RE: HOTEL INFO - A final count for the number of rooms needed is due by 8/17. If you have not already done so, PLEASE call the office by this TUESDAY to let us know if your dancer needs a room or not. If we don't hear from you by 8/17, you will be responsible to make your own lodging accommodations.

CHAPERONES NEEDED! - We still need a few room moms for Dance Fever. If you are willing to help drive girls and stay over night, please call the Studio ASAP and let us know. Room counts and assignments will be made this week.

Audition Opportunity

Auditions for a specialty routine that will be performed at The Pulse on Tour in Las Vegas will be held on Monday, August 16th, at 3:00 p.m. at the Ogden Studio. Auditions are open to Elite, Teen, and Senior Company dancers.

Those interested in auditioning will be required to attend the two-day convention, Nov. 20 & 21, (estimated cost $220 for the convention), pay a $25-$30 routine competition fee, plus choreography, costume, and hotel fees. Choreography fee (TBD) will be due at the time of audition and convention payment will be due shortly after.

All intermediate to advanced dancers age 11+ are welcome to attend the convention, whether you are selected for the routine or not. We had a BLAST last year and look forward again to this fun opportunity!!

*Please be aware that this convention is held on Saturday and Sunday.

Parade Prop Info

PARADE PROPS (Brigham Studio). If your dancer is in the parade routine at the Brigham Studio, remember to bring a 1 1/4" x 36" stick to practice this Thursday, July 15. Dowels can be purchased at Home Depot for approximately $6.88 plus tax. PARADE COSTUME FEE is due AUGUST 5 (exact amount will be posted later this week).

COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER - Cookie Dough orders will be delivered to the Studio on Thursday, JULY 15. Independent Audition Opportunity

The best dancers in Utah are wanted for a dance competition with BYU TV. Dancers are invited to audition for a Shaun Barrowes dance video that will be choreographed by Mandy Moore in Provo, UT, at the end of August. Auditions for this televised dance video will be held on June 25 at 2 p.m. at The Winner School, 6120 S 2075 E, SLC.

There is no submission fee, and all ages are welcome, but they are particularly looking for ages 15-20. Anyone wishing to audition must do so to one of Shaun Barrowes' original songs (www.shaunbarrowes.com). For more information, visit www.hammerhandsdance.com

Fundraising Opportunity

Remember the cookie dough fundraiser is now underway. Otis Spunkmeyer's brand is well known and has always been a hit in the past. You can still pick up a packet at either Studio and this is a great way to help pay for a portion of the DANCE FEVER convention coming up in September.

Summer Classes & Full Out Convention

Summer classes are starting this week! Remember to take advantage of the Refer a Friend tuition credit and invite your friends to come and try a class for free! It's not too late to register and check out some fun new classes.

Mark your calendars for Full Out on June 19 from 10-4 at the Sports Academy in Logan. Cost is $95 (due now), which includes lunch and a T-shirt. We have an awesome faculty scheduled and are SO excited! Company and prep teams are required to attend, all other dancers are welcome, too.

Recital Tuesday & Wednesday

We are so excited for the Recitals tonight and tomorrow night at the Val Browning Fine Arts Center at Weber State University! Remember to be there ready to go by 5:45 p.m. Show starts at 6:30. No saving of seats will be permitted and NO FOOD OR DRINK is allowed in the theater.

We have rented a small theater for the dancers to enjoy a movie in while they are waiting to perform. Parents are welcome in the dressing room during intermission ONLY to help change costumes. As a courtesy to our performers and the audience, PLEASE REMAIN SEATED DURING THE SHOW. We want every dancer to have their moment to shine without interruptions.

Professional videos of the performance will be available for purchase and concessions will be sold during intermission. Thanks for your support. We know you will LOVE the show!

Remember Recital Rehearsal at the Browning Fine Arts Center at Weber State University on Monday. NO classes will be held at the Brigham or Ogden Studios. See you there!

We are pleased to offer professional recordings of the Recital by Foursite Studios so you can sit back and enjoy the show! Cost is $25 for one DVD, $20 for 2 or more. DVDs can be shipped direct for $2 or can be picked up at Foursite Studios in Ogden free of charge.

Please check all your costume pieces and all accessories prior to competition day (tights, shoes, hats, jewelry, etc.). Several things were left behind on picture day. If you are missing any items, check with the office ASAP! It is very hectic on competition day!

If you leave at any time during the competition, make sure you arrive back on time at least ONE HOUR prior to scheduled performance time. This competition may run ahead of schedule.

Recital Info.
Recital fee is due with April tuition payment, $25 for one student (6 tickets) $40 for family (10 tickets). Please sign up for the number of tickets you need in the office and specify what night(s) you will be attending. Additional tickets may be purchased for $6 each. Seating is limited so sign up early. Saving of seats will NOT be permitted. Accounts must be current and at a zero balance in order for your dancer to perform at the recital.

Recital Rehearsal on Monday, May 17, @ Val Browning Center Performing Arts at Weber State University for all 3-8 year olds, Squads and Prep Teams. Sr., Teen, Teen Company 2, Jr., & Jr. Company 2 girls are also required to attend to help the younger students.

There will be NO BRIGHAM COMPANY classes tomorrow night, because of Spotlight Dance Cup. My understanding is that regular Thursday classes will be held in Ogden, and Tumbling will be held in Brigham. If this changes, I will let you know.

Last chance to get registered for Thunderstruck – late fees of $5/routine will be assessed on March 12. If you are planning on doing your solo/duo/trio, you must sign up and pay through the studio. Our performance of Shut Up and Dance has been changed to March 24.

Our stage time is 7:00-7:30 p.m. – please arrive by 6:45 p.m. The dressing rooms are on the right side of the building and down the stairs – DO NOT go anywhere else in the building until Autumn arrives. We ask everyone to be on their best behavior as this is a professional show. There isn’t much parking around Kingsbury Hall, so you may have to park at the UofU football stadium and walk over. Shuttle service is not provided.

The Production, All That Jazz, is performing.


Call the Kingsbury Box Office for tickets at 801-581-7100, we get 20% off ticket price, make sure you tell them you are a guest performance from Infinity Dance Utah. The venue for this night is “Let It Be”.

Our incredible production, ALL THAT JAZZ, choreographed by Autumn Roberts, has been invited to perform with Odyssey Dance Theatre's SHUT UP AND DANCE.

Our performance will be March 25 at 8:00 p.m. at Kingsbury Hall. The show is Romeo & Juliet. Purchase tickets on-line or the box office $30-$45.

Here it is – remember it may be subject to change, but this should be it. Please check the schedule when you arrive and we will keep the website up-to-date. Competition is held at Viewmont High School in Bountiful. Directions: Take the 500 S. Exit #317 and make an immediate left onto 1000 N., stay on this road, the school is on the left side about ½ mile – you CANNOT park in the bus load/unload area in the front of the school – they will ticket you!!

Your routine numbers are listed. If you registered for solo/duo/trio, you MUST have the sticker on your CD, so please make sure you get them BEFORE the competition or get from Robin at the competition. I will try to get them out the week before.

ADMISSION IS FREE – invite your family and friends. NO PHOTOS OR VIDEOTAPING IS ALLOWED!! Please pass it on to your family members. Photos and DVD’s will be available to purchase at the competition. If we get enough people signed up for the DVD it is cheaper and you get all the routines, so please sign up if you are interested. Last year we got them for $85 for our entire studio which is a great deal!! We have well over 100 total routines.

Please arrive at least an 1.5 hour ahead of your first routine (or time that the door opens), this competition can run up to an hour ahead of schedule and do not leave until you are done competing, we had a problem with this last year and students missed their routines. Please NO FOOD in the dressing rooms, there are places to eat outside of the dressing rooms and we will need room for everyone to have their stuff. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE clean up after yourselves and pick up your area BEFORE you leave and make sure you have EVERYTHING. We had several costumes left behind at Dance for Life and Hollywood Vibe!!

Also, 2nd reminder that Thunderstruck Competition fees are due by March 6! Late fees will be posted after that date. If you want to do your solo/duo/trio, please register and pay in the office, we have to register on-line so no late entries will be accepted. NOTE: You cannot do your solo/duo/trio if you have an account balance (including tuition), so please make sure your accounts are paid in full.



We are nearing the end of year, so it is VERY important that all your fees are paid in full. Recital information will be going out next week with what we are doing, so please watch your email and check the website regularly. We will be doing two combined shows due to BEHS under construction.

Order forms will be available in the office. Please fill out correctly with team name, costume color and name spelling to allieviate errors.

Recital Information:
May 17-19 @ Val Browning Performing Arts (Weber State) - 6:30 p.m. Arrive ready to go by 6:00 p.m. You will be required to let the office know what night you are going to and how many tickets for each show if going to both. You will get 6 tickets with one student ($25) and 10 tickets for family of 2 or more ($40). Recital fee is due with April Tuition. Additional tickets will be sold at $6/each. The venue will be printing tickets for us to hand out. Maximum attendance is 1,700.

With BEHS under construction, we will be holding two Spring Reviews with both studios. 3-8 Year Old Recreational Teams, Squads and Prep Teams will be on May 18 with one routine per Company performing, and Advanced Overall Solo/Duo/Trio Winners for 2010. Company girls will be helping the 3-8 year old teams that night. NO parents are to be backstage or in the dressing rooms. JeriAnn will assign two girls to each Company girl to be responsible for. Please pick your student up AFTER the Finale.

Recital practice will be held May 17 at 4:00 p.m. for 3-8 year old recreation classes, Squads and Prep Teams ONLY, need to be there from 4:00 - 5:00 to learn the finale. Prep Teams do not have to stay for rehearsal. We will concentrate on the little ones & Squads.

3-8 Year Old Recreation, Squads & Prep Team Review will be held May 18 at 6:30 p.m.
Company Review will be held May 19 at 6:30 p.m.

$25 for 6 tickets, $40 for 10 (family of 2 or more students)
$6/additional tickets - determine which show you are attending.
Recital fee due with April tuition.

This is just an update about our Thursday classes for Companies. All Company classes will NOT be held, at either studio, with the exception of Mini Company and Tiny Company at Ogden, and Tiny Company in Brigham.

Dance for Life Results

We are very proud of ALL of our soloists and teams who competed at Dance for Life and did extremely well! There was some excellent competition at there, and it was great to see our teams on the floor and performing so well.

In addition, Infinity took home ALL the specialty awards given out by the Odyssey Dance Theatre judges.

Highlights include:

(This award included an invitation to perform at Shut Up and Dance next month. Very cool, since it includes all of our Companies, from Petite to Senior! You go girls!)

Important Updates from Infinity Dance

REMEMBER, THERE IS NO DANCE TODAY, because of the President's Day Holiday.
This is for BOTH BRIGHAM and OGDEN studios. Also, please remember that
this is the time of year when I start emailing you a LOT! Please read
every email, check the blog regularly, and let me know if you have any
questions.

Thunderstruck competition fees will be posted this week for all Companies,
Prep Teams, Ballroom and Ogden Jr. & Sr. Squad. Fees are $35/routine,
$80/solo, $90/Duo-Trio. If you want to do your solo/duo/trio, please sign
up in the office with your payment, they do not have a registration form
and it must be entered on-line with our group routines. No late entries
will be accepted!!! Remember competitions are MANDATORY!! Schedules have
been out since October 2009, so hopefully you didn’t plan anything on
competition dates.

Money is DUE no later than March 4. Late fees will be posted after that
date. All costumes, shoes, tights, accessories, tuition MUST be caught up
by March 4 also. Please understand we cannot cover all these fees and
there are still some outstanding accounts.

Also as a reminder, recital fees are due with April Tuition and will be
posted to your accounts with April Tuition ($25/one student & $45/family).
Tickets will be available to pick up in May only if your accounts are
paid in full NO EXCEPTIONS! Remember the recital will be held May 18&19
at the Val Browning Center at Weber State. Rehearsal will be held May 17
for everyone. More to come, so watch the website!!
