New ballet class

We are adding a ballet class in Ogden, Thursday nights at 8:30. This will be a Teen/Senior Company level class, and it will be taught by Brenda Butcher.

Brenda Butcher has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from the University of Utah. She has trained extensively in Ballet, Jazz, and Modern. Brenda was a member of the Mountain West Ballet Company and spent three years as the Assistant Nutcracker Rehearsal Mistress for Ballet West. She is currently Dance/HLAC Adjunct Faculty at Salt Lake Community College, and enjoys teaching college level students. She has also choreographed for several high school dance companies and drill teams across the state.

This class is an excellent opportunity for those dancers who have been missing ballet classes due to conflicts to make up both their ballet requirements and also make up demerits. Please be aware that demerits are now being tallied up and we will be removing girls from dances who have too many demerits.

Please do not make us take girls out of routines. We want everyone to be in the routines for their team, and specialty routines they made, and now is the time to address these demerit issues and make sure that classes are being made up.

This ballet class is also an excellent chance to improve your technique, so please take advantage of it.
