Mandatory practices

There will be mandatory practices Monday, August 31 and Monday, September 7th. Times are: People Are Strange from 4 to 5 p.m.; Alan's hip hop from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and Liz's routine from 7:30 to 9 p.m. nine.

New Audition Class at Dance Fever

Liz Imperio Routine Practice

There will be a practice for Liz's routine, tomorrow night (August 27) at 6 p.m. at the Ogden studio, to learn the rest of the choreography. Liz wants to work with the girls on Friday at Dance Fever, after classes, so we need to make sure everyone knows the choreography.

No dance!!

Just a reminder there is no dance for the next two weeks. Dance resumes Tuesday, September 8.

Just a reminder... NO CLASS

Hello all,

Just a reminder we are on break from regular classes, and will remain that way until Tuesday, September 8. However, registration is this week: August 25 & 26 for Brigham and August 26 & 27 for Ogden.

Also, girls in Liz Imperio's routine must be at the Ogden Studio at 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, to learn this routine. Please bring your $125 at this time. Remember, this routine requires a commitment to go to the Pulse in Las Vegas in November.

Dance Fever is THIS Friday and Saturday, at the Provo Marriott! See you there.

Room Assignments at Dance Fever

Below are the ballroom assignments for each team. We are keeping teams together, both for ability reasons, and also because they may want to practice the dances they learn.

These assignments are NOT negotiable. Please do NOT ask to change them.

Jumpstart: Tiny Prep, Mini Prep, Tiny Company
Juniors: Mini Company, Petite Company, Junior Prep
Teen: Jr. Company 2, Jr. Company, Teen Company 2
Senior: Teen Company and Senior Company

Liz Imperio Routine and Information

Hello All,

The practices for Liz Imperio's routine will be on Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25, at the Ogden studio, from 4 p.m. to 9 (or possibly 10) p.m. You MUST be at these practices if you were invited to do this routine. We only have a short time to work with Liz, so please make sure you are there on time, and ready to work.

Girls in this routine must also commit to attend the Pulse in Las Vegas November 21 & 22. Choreography fee is $125 per dancer, and it is due the first day the routine is set.

Deadline for the Pulse is THIS WEEK, and competition and convention fees MUST be paid no later than Friday!

Angie's Sr Comp Routine

There will not be a practice for Angie's Senior Company routine until further notice.

Parade Practices and Ballroom Carwash

PARADE PRACTICES:
The following Mandatory Parade Practices will be held in Brigham City at
the old K-Mart building by Burger King. (10th south and Main.) Please
bring water!

Wednesday, August 19th we will switch parade with core class. Parade
class will be held from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. If parade is your only class
that day, you can be picked up there. If you have a full day of classes,
we will drive you back to the studio after practice. (We will need a few
people to help us drive the girls back.) The rest of the classes will be
as scheduled except for core which will be from 12:30 - 1:30 that day.

Saturday, August 22 7:00-8:00 a.m. Girls in Autumn's routine can head to
rehearsal following this practice.

Tuesday, September 1 6:00-7:00 p.m. This will be your final practice
before the parade and we will give you hair instructions and meeting
time/place at this practice so be there!

You can have your parade costume as soon as it is paid for. Autumn did
ask some of the girls to get sweatbands to help with the size of the hats.
Hats have been ordered and are on their way.

A NOTE FROM CARRIE SPENDLOVE:

ATTENTION ALL BALLROOM STUDENTS!!

We are having our Car Wash THIS next Saturday, Aug. 22, from 12-4pm. It had to be rescheduled because of inclement weather. It will be
held in front of Kirt's Drive-in in North Ogden. The address is 1974 N.
400 E. It is right on Washington Blvd. All proceeds will be split among
the students that attend, so take advantage of this GREAT opportunity to
pay off some fees!! I'd appreciate any extra sponges, squeegies, towels,
etc. that people would be willing to bring! Call me with any questions!

Hey girls,

Just wanna say thanks again for the turnout at the audition yesterday.:) You are all amazing dancers but like I said I was only doing a small group and was looking for a very particular style.:-)

Alternates you will need to be at rehersals to learn the routine.

If you are no longer interested please let me know so I can offer it to someone else. Also, you are not allowed to miss a rehearsal! This is going to take a lot of work and I need everyone there. If you miss, that is where the alternate steps in.

First practice is this Saturday, August 15, and then again on August 22, from 9-11.

Erica Sobol coming to Dance Fever!

We are so excited to announce that Erica Sobol will be teaching at Dance Fever!


Erica has spent a life time so far studying performing arts in both New York and Los Angeles. She has earned a BA in dance-theater from Barnard College at Columbia University. She has created, worked, and trained with so many brilliant choreographers, including but not limited to: Gil Duldulao, Kevin Maher, Victor Rojas, Craig Hollamon, Matt Cady, Rhapsody James, and Tucker Barkley.

Erica has worked as a master instructor at several dance studios all over the world, including Manhattan’s Peridance, BDC in Tokyo, Japan and Skip on Guam.

Erica Michelle Sobol is the founder and artistic director of collidEdance, an ever-evolving professional dance company dedicated to blurring the line between dance and theater.

Liz Imperio routine

Below are the girls that are being invited to do Liz Imperio’s routine. This routine will be set either Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25; or Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27. Girls MUST be available during these times. Girls must also commit to attend the Pulse in Las Vegas November 21 & 22. Production Tonight

In Production tonight, August 3, Autumn will be working with everyone. After we see how far she gets, I will post who should come next week.

There have been a few complaints and concerns about girls not going to production. Believe me, they WILL get their time and money's worth in. Right now, as she choreographs, it's hard to gauge what point she will be at with such a large group, but once the routine is set, a more regular schedule will be possible.
