COSTUME AND COMP FEE BALANCES NOW PAST DUE
We believe the wording is clear on our information, and we have sent home both numerous emails and physical notes, and it is now time to add on late fees. We don't WANT to do this, but if the money isn't there, the costumes cannot be purchased, the shoes cannot be purchased, and the competition fees cannot be paid.
Therefore, we are offering ONE LAST CHANCE to get your fees paid. Jamie will be at the Ogden studio from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Please take advantage of this time to go in there and settle your bill. After this point, we will be using the credit cards on file, and a late fee will be added.
We hate to resort to this, but if everyone will just work together and realize that our competition season is about a month and a half away, and we MUST order these shoes, costumes, tights, accessories now, it will make everyone's life easier.
WARMUPS ARE IN
Also, please note warmups are in, and you can pick them up at the studio.

There have been a few complaints and concerns about girls not going to production. Believe me, they WILL get their time and money's worth in. Right now, as she choreographs, it's hard to gauge what point she will be at with such a large group, but once the routine is set, a more regular schedule will be possible.

More Exciting News about Dance Fever!--Dana Wilson
Dana was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. At Michelle Latimer Dance Academy, she studied many forms of dance, and fell particularly hard for contemporary movement, hip hop, and funk styles. Dana moved to Los Angeles at age 18 to pursue her dreams and become a professional dancer. Dana has been blessed with various work on contemporary companies, commercials, music videos, award shows, movies (Shrek 4, and Charlie Wilson’s War), a world tour with Justin Timberlake (the Future, Sex, Love Show), and worked as the assistant choreographer to Wade Robson on the new Cirque Du Soleil show "Believe". Dana is currently assisting Toni Basil on various projects including an upcoming Van Halen tour, and is teaching around the world. She has lit the stage as a performer, and has become a passionate teacher and choreographer, but above all, is an admirer and student of movement.

Ogden Studio Audition Results and Registration Information
Below are the audition results for our Ogden studio. Please know that a lot of thought, care, concern—and even a few prayers—goes into picking these team placements. It’s a difficult job, especially because we love each one of the girls who walks through the doors of Infinity. We hope you would keep that in mind, and know that every placement is done with two specific purposes—what is best for the dancer, and what is best for the team. In other words, we have considered how each dancer looks with the other dancers on their team, and feel that all of these placements are excellent choices.
As always, our summer classes are a proving ground, and should movement be necessary, it will take place at this time. We would also ask that you allow us this time to look over the teams, see how they dance together, and make any necessary changes.
We also would like to ask that you respect our choices and decisions. Please be aware that mistakes do happen, and if you do not see your dancer on this list, please contact Natalie@infinitydance.org. You do not have to wait to do this.
As you are all aware, our other summer schedule was preliminary and we have made a few adjustments. Please take note of these changes when you receive your schedule tomorrow in your packet. It will also be posted on the Web site later tonight or tomorrow.
Registration is tomorrow, June 4, from 4-8 p.m., and all parents need to come between those hours. Due at this time is the registration fee ($25 returning students, $30 new students, not to exceed $45 per family). You are also required to pay for Full Out, $90, which includes your lunch and a T-shirt. Full Out will be held at the Sports Academy in Logan on Saturday, June 20. If you do not pay your fee by June 11, it goes up to $100.

Brigham Audition Results
Hello everyone. Below are the results of the Brigham City audition. We had a GREAT turnout, quite a few new faces, and everyone did a wonderful job! As we have said in the past, our professional panel has assessed all dancers and these Company/Team placements are final for now. Also understand that phone calls or discussions about placement will not in any way alter the outcome.
Please refrain from both.
Brigham registration will be held Mon., June 1st from 4-8 p.m. We changed Mini Prep to Tiny Company and we will not start rehearsal classes in the summer for Jr. or Sr. Squad, but want them to work hard in Ballet and Technique Classes. Squads are not listed on these results. Fall schedules will be out by the end of July.
Reminder – everyone must come to registration on June 1 from 4-8:00 p.m. We will have your packets ready with all your information, schedules, etc. Keep these folders for the year. A monthly calendar will be posted to the website so you can print them off and keep it in your folder. Please make sure you and your parent(s) read all the contents so you know what is expected of you during the year. Registration fee and Full Out payment will be due ($25/returning student, $30/new student, $45/family) and Full Out is $90. We have to order T-shirts next week so make sure you come in! Also, remember we will be requiring a debit/credit card so your account does not go delinquent at the end of the month.
COMPANY/PREP TEAM/SQUAD PLACEMENT*
*Please note if you do not find your name on this list, please call the Brigham Studio, (435) 723-1909 or email Natalie (natalie@infinitydance.org). We do our best to make sure these are completely correct, but mistakes do happen. Also, please note that names will be added to these teams AFTER the Ogden auditions, as some of our Brigham dancers are auditioning down there, due to scheduling conflicts.

Important Updates from Infinity Dance
We are thrilled to announce that Dax William Shaw was born May 11, 3:45 a.m.
He was 6 lbs 9 oz, and 18.5” long.
Mother and baby are doing fine!
We are asking that you please give Mandy and family time to spend together, recover, and enjoy the new baby. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Autumn (Autumn@infinitydance.org), Robin (Robin@infinitydance.org), Jamie (Jamie@infinitydance.org) or Natalie (Natalie@infinitydance.org).
SWAN LAKE
There is a MANDATORY practice for all Senior Company, Teen Company, and Teen Company 2 girls who are doing Swan Lake at the Brigham recital. The practice is TOMORROW at 4:30 at Box Elder High School, which is where the recital is.
Junior Company girls from Ogden DO NOT need to be there. They are only doing Swan Lake in the Ogden recital.
Also, PLEASE be aware it is MANDATORY for Company dancers to be at the Brigham Recital. This event has been all the calendar for the entire year. If Ogden dancers miss the Brigham recital, they will NOT perform in the Ogden recital.
This is our showcase for the YEAR. It is very important, and it is not fair to your teammates to not show up.
EARLY AUDITIONS:
Please be aware that we have moved the early auditions for teams to Saturday, May 16, at the Ogden studio, due to the fact that May 23 falls on Memorial Day weekend. That is THIS Saturday. You MUST pre-register through Natalie (email Natalie@infinitydance.org). This audition is ONLY for those girls who cannot make it to either Brigham’s auditions on May 26 & 27 or Ogden’s auditions on June 1 & 2. Please have the audition form filled out, bring your audition fee ($55, which is a $50 costume deposit and a $5 registration/paperwork fee). Also, audition results will NOT be given at this audition, and will be posted on June 3, 2009, on the Web site blog. http://danceinfinity.blogspot.com/

Important Updates from Infinity Dance
Here are a few important notes for the next few weeks.
OGDEN MINI COMPANY NOTE:
THURSDAY, May 7, at the Roy Night to Remember, we will be doing GET LIFTED, instead of Spanish Rose.
OGDEN STUDIO DANCERS!
You are NOT required to be at the Brigham Dress Rehearsal on Monday, May 11. However, Ogden Company members WILL be performing at the Brigham Recital, and I will be putting the schedule on the site tomorrow. But Monday classes in Ogden will be the same as usual. Tuesday, however, there will be NO classes! Please remember this means all of our classes. The majority of the teachers and a good amount of the girls will be involved Tuesday, so it does not make sense to hold classes this day.
Ogden Classes
Monday, May 11--all classes
Tuesday, May 12--NO CLASSES
Obviously, Brigham will not have classes either of these days, as well, as it is their recital.
Monday, May 4, 2009
Monday schedule

5:00 – 6:00 – Teen Prep & Jr. Co. 2 Ballet

Important Updates
Just a few reminders about Thunderstruck. Please be aware that competitions set their OWN schedules. This competition, like Spotlight, moves things around, and a great deal of the older team routines are on Friday night, as opposed to on Saturday. We cannot control this, and we have including the "plan on both" or "all three" days in our information to you, because it is unpredictable. While local competitions almost always do solos on Friday, and teams on Saturday, national competitions are different. Also, in other states they often run pieces of large competitions on Sunday. Because this is not an option in Utah, they do the best they can with the time they have, and this competition will run fairly late.
Also, PLEASE BE AWARE, we will not be doing the Ogden Production, Cool, at this competition. They belong to the same dance federation that Spotlight Cup belongs to, and our fence is too tall for their rules.
The updated Thunderstruck schedule is here:
http://www.infinitydance.com/thunderstruckschedule.pdf
LOST DANCE BAG
On another note, a black dance bag with shoes inside it, along with a camera bag, was lost or left behind at the last competition, Dance Spectacular, at Thunderstruck. If anyone happened to pick up these bags, or knows anything about it, please let us know!
Email: Natalie@infinitydance.org

Updated Dance Spectacular Schedule
There have been some changes to the schedule for Dance Spectacular, so please make sure you check the new schedule. As always, you MUST arrive one hour prior to your first scheduled performance time. Once there, please do not leave the facility! We do not want you to miss your dances.
Please wear your Infinity warmups between dances.
The updated schedule can be viewed here.
Sunday, April 19, 2009
Important Reminder!
This is just a reminder that this week is a competition week, and thus dancers CANNOT miss any rehearsals this week. We have spaced other girls out, and we will continue to abide by this rule.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DANCER IS IN CLASS THIS WEEK.

If you need us to run a card for you to pay off your account, please call the office Monday-Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. It is VERY important to keep your accounts current. Also, your student may not be eligible to audition if you have a balance on your account, so PLEASE get them caught up!

Spotlight Dance Cup Results
Everyone did a great job at Spotlight Dance Cup, and you can view all the results here. We had a LOT of diamond awards, the best you can get, and we are VERY proud of everyone.
I wanted to post some highlights, but there were SO MANY awards that I didn't want to make anyone feel bad. So you can click on the link to see them all in their entirety, except I DID want to mention this one.
Our own teacher and choreographer Autumn Roberts won the choreography award in three solo categories: Petite, Teen, and Junior.
Of course, that was with the help of dancers Megan Johansen (Petite); Hailee Payne (Teen); and Kristing Yu (Junior).
Way to go Autumn and girls!

It is very easy to get to. Just take the 500 West exit off I-15, and take the first left hand turn, onto 1000 North, and follow it up east until you see the school. The street curves north before it heads back east, but just stay on it and you will drive right to the school.

**Please be there at least ONE hour before your scheduled performance time. Competitions often run early.

Robin will be bringing the lipstick kits and accessories to the dance competition Saturday, for the girls who do not have them yet. Unfortunately, the shipment will not arrive until tomorrow so this is the only way we can do it.

Thank you!

Amber's Classes
Attention Ogden Mini Company, Tiny Company & Jr. Prep,
On Thursday, March 19 there will be no classes. Due to me winning Overall Solo at Dance for Life, I get to perform at “Shut Up and Dance.” We will be having a MANDATORY make-up rehearsal on Saturday, March 21. Jr. Prep will be from 9:00 to 11:00 and everybody at 11:00 to 1:00. Sorry for the inconvenience, but they need to be ready for Spotlight. You’re welcome to come to the show at 8:00 p.m. at Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake! Also due to Spotlight next Thursday, Brie will be teaching for me so I can be with my soloist. I appreciate your understanding!
Thanks again!
Amber

Bouncing emails
I have a few email addresses that are bouncing again, and I am going to remove them from the email list. If you are NOT getting the email updates, please send me an email at natalie@infinitydance.org, so I can find out why your email is not working. I won't be sending this notice out in email, because obviously, if your email is bouncing, you won't get it.
Thanks!
Important Updates
Apparently there was a gap in the communications, and a physical note did not go home to ballroom parents about our competition schedule change. We apologize for this omission. We are NOT doing Dance for Life as a team, but ARE doing Spotlight Dance Cup March 26, 27, & 28 (Company, Company 2, Prep Teams, Ballroom); Dance Spectacular, April 24 & 25 (Company, Company 2, Prep Teams, Ballroom, Squads); and Thunderstruck, May 1 & 2 (Company, Company 2, Prep Teams, Ballroom).
We would like to emphasize the necessity of reading the Web site regularly. I can't tell you how many people have said how much they love having this available 24/7, whenever you have time to check things after a busy day.
Also, please note, SQUADS are competing at Dance Spectacular.

They are very strict and will ask you to leave the auditorium Also, if you are performing at 2:30 on Thursday or Friday, please COME READY. No Saturday Geeks Practice
In addition, there will NOT be an all day practice on Saturday, March 21, from 9 to 5.
Wednesday, March 4, 2009
Attention Ballroom Students
This is an AMAZING opportunity for the dancers to be able to see serious competitive ballroom dancing with some of the best dancers in the world at a VERY reasonable cost. The listed prices are good for the entire day. They will stamp you and you can come and go as you please. I would recommend attending as much as you have time for, but Saturday evening in particular is a DO NOT MISS! I would recommend getting there in plenty of time because the best seats get packed, as well as parking.
Carpool with classmates and make a fun day our of it! I will be sitting at the table seats on the floor both Friday evening and Saturday, so feel free to come chat with me and tell me what you think!
I would also recommend wearing at least "dressy casual". Ballroom is a very different crowd!! I would love to see many of you competing at this competition next year, so please come see what it is all about!!
Thanks,
Carrie

Important Updates!
Lipstick Kits/Accessories for Ogden Mini Prep, Ogden Tiny Prep, Ogden Jr. & Sr. Squad, Brigham Mini Prep and Brigham Jr. & Sr. Squad. We are still waiting for our backorder of bobby pins. They WILL NOT be here until the middle of March. All your accessories and lipstick kits are together and will be handed out when they come in. They will be given to your teachers to hand out in class. Please be patient! Everyone will have their stuff before their first competition.
Accounts: Robin will be finalizing everyone’s accounts in Ogden this weekend. She will be checking to make sure all costumes, shoes, tights, lipstick kits, accessories, competition fees or any other stuff the studio has ordered for you (hats, clothing, etc.) has been applied to your accounts. Please be aware that there may be additional charges to your accounts if your student has already received these items. This takes a lot of time, so if you feel there is something listed on your account that should not be, please let the office know. We have kept a pretty good spreadsheet of what was handed out. Costumes will be added for Salty Eyes and Off the Rails ($70/each). Brigham accounts have been finalized last week.
It is VERY important that you get your accounts to zero by the end of the month as the remainder of the costumes must be paid for, competition fees have already been sent in and all shoes/tights have been distributed. Remember that Tuition and Thunderstruck will be added to your accounts on the 2nd of March and are due March 20. These must be paid on time so we can avoid being late!! This is the last one (yeah!!). Thank You for your cooperation and support during these last couple of stressful months! We hope you enjoyed watching your students at Odyssey!! It is important that they attend all their classes to get ready for Spotlight!! There are things that need to be fixed to be ready.
Swan Lake Ballet Routine: Costume fee of $50 has been added to your accounts. We need to get these ordered ASAP so we can have them on time. If your student has told Miss Michelle they are doing it, she is planning on them (BC & Ogden Sr. Company, Teen Company, Jr. Company and Ogden Teen Co. 2). They will also need to get new tights if the ones they have are in bad shape. We have them available in the offices ($10/child $12/Adult +tax).
